1.4 Breaking

This was on the VOC a while ago, but with it being down... The owner basically doesn't want to see it go to waste, i.e. would like bits to be saved before it gets crushed. I've been there today, and got most of what I want, I'm going back one night next week though to grab the wheels.

Anyone need any 1.4 bits? The car needs to bbe rollable, and I'm going in the evening, so I can't do anything major, but things like the throttle cable and hoses if anyone wants I can grab. Let me know. Ask about the rest of the stuff, I've had a fair amount, but theres still more there. 2 passenger side doors are mint, but I don't know if the owner could have the car unsecureable, but it might be worth the ask. In redliney silver colour.

Is it a 3 door? if so what are the seats like? and the front bumper?

If you're able to store them till July Chris, I'd have second dibs on the bumpers. The front grille if it's in really good nick would be good, headlamp wiper arms (with securing nuts) and possibly the rear wiper arm would be cool too ...

It's a 5 door I'm afraid guys, I did think about the interior for you Dan until I remembered.

The front bumper is bent, it's had a front end on the side you can't see. Tom, I can get you the grill and rear arm, I've got the 2 headlamp wiper arms I'm afraid one for me and one for pettaw, keen?

Kaos, I won't have time for the wings and bonnet I'm afraid, but if you are keen, I can put you in contact with the owner and you can see if you can get there before it goes?

it'll prob go beforei even get a chance to get there work all week and at the weekend im off picking more 16v parts up lol. ahwell not to worry:)

OK cheers Chris. Is the rear bumper too much hassle? No worries if it is ...

Did you grab the door / bonnet / boot seals?

Tom I'm posting your stuff tomorrow, didn't know you wanted a grille too, I have one with the chrome surround which iirc is in good condition...

Never had to remove a rear one before, it's not as easy as the front ?

John, thanks for that! Chris - no rear wiper needed then!

The chrome grille on mine is intact, just getting a bit ratty around the edges - just like the bumpers really. I'm looking for one which is near-mint. Chris, John - what do you reckon, are the ones you have access to in good nick?

No idea how good the grill is mate, I can look. 3 doors seals are good nick and have been pulled, I didn't get the boot one but prolly will, want me to move them from my pile to yours? I have no immediate need.

Rear bumper is a breaker bar and swearing job normally, I'll look see what condition it is, and how much time I have!

IIRC the UK passenger side door seal, hatch seal and bonnet seal (the one that goes around the firewall end) could do with replacing on my cars. But only if they're good and worth saving!

Again, only bother if it really is good (intact chrome strip, no bad dents or scuffs etc.). But don't go breaking any fingernails on account of me

Tom my spare grill is a bit tarnished, doubt it's any better than yours unfortunately.
