
I was reading filthyjohn's topic from yesterday, terrible pics, the 300 can rust very badly. But I think that I have a better pic for the broken front strut!

After 25 km on the motorway Friday night, I tried to park the GLT near my girlfriend's house. There was so place, so I made a U-turn, I drove very slowly to find another place and then a huge BANG: the front spring cup was broken.
What a chance it didn't happen 5 minutes before on a wet motorway, I just can't imagine the disaster, and with a passenger...

When I decided to check the damage, what a big surprise... It's not only the cup! The spring is also broken!!!! The bottom of the spring is as rotten as the cup...

I really don't know what I will do... Of course from Volvo I don't expect to get the part and it's a bit unecessary to put another used strut if the same problem happens... Any recommandations? I've seen that there is maybe a possibility to get rebuilt ones?
