If I was looking for a pure offroad toy then fine, but daily.. depends on your welding skills I guess. Shogun or a rangey depending on which end of the scale you are
for sale - FEELER
As much as it pains me to agree with Redline (
) I've a few mates with 4x4's, a few Series' (2's and 3's) and one a SWB shogun. For a normal car I'd have the shogun anyday super comfy and you don't get deafend, the petrol engine is the same as the Starion, and it's practically as capable offroad around the playgrounds.

"landrovers are simple easy to fix and cheap"
Reason being they were designed in the 50's didn't move forward until the Defender and aren't best on your leisure time/pocket.
Give me a shout when you want the welder passed under.
Sorry like but I'll stick with me PAS,A/C,E/W factory fitted 14 speaker stereo system etc,etc......
You can mess with your leaky steering box and saggy springs.
Hell, you even listed rear speakers as a selling point on your Volvo 360.What d'ya think your 50's LR will come with?????
I'll leave at that.I think I've made my point
I'm off to buy a chainy.

jap = ultra reliable , just think of all the work your going to lose while the landys in the shop and shoguns are easy to repair with better parts availability in most places ,pyro wrote: jap and to plasticy, easy to break
in the time a landrover takes to catch up with a shogun you could rebuild the engine and skim the heads
pyro wrote:and not good for slinging stuff in the back without worrying about all the interior.
take the rear seats out , then you would have more room than a lwb landy
just as well with the amount of time they spend broken .pyro wrote: landrovers are simple easy to fix and cheap
to be honest I would have a toyota hilux or nissan safari patrol but I have only had land rovers and shoguns so only feel right to comment on vehicles I have actually owned and driven
