Wasn't sure how the wheels would look when I first saw the photos-thought they might be too modern-I was wrong they look good as does the rest.
Wished I 'd bit the bullet and bought it even more now-jealous

Yeah man, you missed the funkboat and no mistake.
The wheels swing both ways (like me ma)
They look top bannana from 45 degrees, but if you stand straight on, you get all the glory of the dirty great grim drums peeping through.

I originally thought adding more chrome would suit the look of the car but ...

I'm agree! It looks great

Well done

Paint them -
Frost does coatings for brake drums, other people surely do too. I've been meaning to do mine for ever.

Do they do a coating that makes them look like grey, new drums? I have some brand new ones that I don't want to rust and I have some 5 spoke wheels that'll show them off a bit much.

Do they have a coating that make them look like a rear disk conversion?
Cheers Ronnie, I was considering it anyway to be honest.
And cheers for the link.

I approve of everything!

Yeah, I'm into original cars, but that doesn't mean I start finger-wagging at other people. If I ever do, stop me
But don't ever, ever, paint it black with a paint roller
(or weld the diff)

That's the trouble with alloy wheel design in many cases - they're designed to show off a shiny brake disc, not a rusty drum. Try painting the drum black?

Maybe you could paint the drum black? (But not yellow or red

)
Tom
Think a nice black drum may indeed be on the cards.

Just read through this Ben. Looking well mate! Not a fan of the new rims, but then I'm very fussy with wheels lol. You have a lot of nice trinkets
Headrest covers you say. Wonder If I have them over mine then lol I'll have to pull some more bits off it to find out
Agreed with all the others, very clean car mate!

I'd come for a peek but I don't think my kind are welcome anywhere near the cartoon army at present lol
Get rich or die tryin'!
