Stop posting pictures of this I'd also be tempted to swap to this from the 1.7 too - the 1.7 3 door is probably more desirable for most too, so you might even end up better off with the swap. You'll also get added cool points for it being a Mk2
Am I right in thinking someones fitted an incorrect back box to it at some point? it looks like a Mk3 style with the inlet/outlet on the same side? Rather than the straight through style Mk2 360 backbox
Practical points added for having better visibility, easier to replace windows and internally adjustable mirrors.

Man has a point... however I do remember in the 343 it was nice to be able to have the front windows open at speed without getting totally blown about!
Well they are fairly flat glass, but the ones of my DAF, one is flat and the other convex. Then again, I used to drive one car with just a interior rear view mirror, no door mirrors or wing mirrors. Nothing I wasn't able to do without turning my head.
You're right of course, but later V300 mirrors make that blind spot a good deal smaller ... From '87 (or so?) on the mirror glass was convex too, at least on the passenger side.
Hi lads.
Some B*****d smashed my passenger side one once.
I got a glazer to put a bit of broken scrap mirror glass into it
for a couple of quid. Easy fix
Cheers Mark.
