At last !!!

Managed to pop out stereo this afternoon with a bit of force ...... was held in by these strange clips towards the back of the stereo...??

Ali... you say that your head unit pops out from the slot under acceleration........

Have you put a cage in for your Head Unit to sit in?

Origionally the cage I have for my Alpine HU wouldnt fit so I filed round the edge of the facia and in each corner slightly just enough to get the cage in and for it to sit in snugly so shouldnt move now at all now...

A lot easier and less ugly than the facia kits ive seen that you can get on EBAY

Errrrm I don't think I did bother in the end actually, the amount of times i've had the damn thing in and out though i'm glad!

Yeah, post 86 cars can have an ISO cage fitted if you file about a mill off all round, and you're right, it looks a lot better than the ebay/autoleads ones.
