80s Volvo wiring is not famed for its quality - despite their awesome reputation, 85-(~)90 240s have various build quality problems, including poor rust treatment and wiring that disintegrates. Glad you've got it sorted!

Cheers guys, did notice actually a lot of the under bonnet wiring has seen better days but for a £40 car I definately cant complain!
