Hi everybody, my 340 is stil for sale. I've had no joy on ebay so I'm sticking it up on here.

Had car MOT'ed and fitted a new rear exhaust silencer in Dec 2009
Fitted new complete clutch kit in Dec 2009 as it was slipping due to OAP driving
Full engine service: Oil, air and fuel filters, spark plugs, leads, rotor arm and dizzy cap Jan 2010
New radiator, bottom hose and fresh antifreeze due to corroded radiator core starting to weep coolant March 2010
Front and rear suspension lowered with - 80mm springs and -50mm blocks from classicswede on http://www.volvo300mania.com
Original rev counter fitted in place of clock

I did intend to keep the car and modify it furthur by fitting a Renault 1.8 16v engine and improving the brakes and suspension but I already have a mk1 Polo project which I want finished and I've just bought a mk3 Polo as a daily driver so sadly this has to go. Shame really as they are becoming hard to find clean examples of. I had some 15" VW Golf steels on her and she did turn some heads when I was driving in the town! As the PCD is 4x100 there is no shortage of cool wheels for these!

Good points
Reliable 1.4 engine, 5 speed manual wih a weber carburettor with a manual choke
Low mileage of 29575 from new with some service history and old MOTs to confirm this
3 previous owners from new
Very solid body and has never been welded. There are however a few bad bits (see bad points)
Lowered suspension but easily put back to stock as the old springs are included
All tyres are in very good condition
New clutch and serviced recently
Long MOT

Bad points
Bonnet and boot were sprayed satin black by the previous owner. There is minor rust coming through but this would be easily sorted
No radio but fortunatly the wires are uncut and has an ISO connector so just plug and play. The stock speakers are included and a set of Alpine ones are fitted.
Passenger front wing has a slight ding - Photos availible
Few rust bubbles on the door bottoms and sills - Again photos availible and not serious
Propshaft bearing rattles when in neutral - Common 340 thing so I'm told
Little heavy on fuel in my opinion, I was getting between 22 and 30 mpg
Sunroof catch is broken
Tax is out

Thats about it really. The car never let me down and will be an ideal project or use as is. You are welcome to view at any time, and can even look underneath on my Dad's 4 post lift. The car is located in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire which is close to Skegness.
