Surely it's really easy just to make/order both of these?

lol cheers hows the conversion going? you get your inlet swapped round too then? and idea on the wiring i think i sorta do as you have to mix and match the wiring as mines a mk3 so i can keep most of the wiring and get rid most of the 16v loom but just need to work out what too keep can you shed any light on that part for me please:D?

Conversion is slow! Still waiting on an alternator mount, cannee find one. The t-piece is the same as an early 440 volvo one. Not a diesel, turbo or air con version though. Also with regards to wiring I'm going to use 340GLT (adam) on here's shortened clio loom. I haven't used it yet, but the work is pretty awesome!

I'm not getting my inlet swapped. When funds allow I'm ITB'ing the beast!

Also I have been told you need all the 1.7 rad pipes as well as the t piece is that true? As mines a 1.4 I have all the bits I need for the engine I just need to get. Throttle body with tps and alternator as the engine didn't come with one .:(

Did look at Adams wiring loom but thought I would give it a go as I could save some money then to spend somewhere else lol

Also does anyone have a arb with all I need to fit it as the the 340 I got the owner I got it from took it off lol ?

I got the whole engine loom so I need to work out what I need to keep as I found one post saying you just need to keep what comes from the Ecu so I'm hoping it wont be too hard but you never know:)

What's itbing?

Cool well I found a place in my town that might be able to do it also i didn't realise I knew some who worked there As he said he would do it for a good price :)

just thinking thought what about the throttle cable lol I'm going to have to be inventive I think with that unless you had a solution for that mate ?

edit: you can find an ARB here that only needs removing from the wishbones as i've already robbed the cross member

ITB'ing is injection throttle bodies, these:

http://atpowershop.co.uk/catalog/renaul ... pvyagjxquq

tasty as fook!

Get on the clio forums for stuff thats missing off the engine, and ebay. williamsclio.co.uk and clio16valver.co.uk

I didn't want the hassle of re-wiring it myself, as I hate electronics with a passion, and my volvo is my daily, so I need it for stuff. In terms of a cable, people use different things, some use a mountainbike gear/brake cable. I still haven't done my swap, so I'm unsure as to waht to use as of yet. I'll let you know though dude!

val- cross member? thought you said you took the arb off? oh and i will do soon dont you worrie.

jon- they look very nice wont you need a stand alone for it? or can you just use the original carb or ecu setup.
they sound the tits mate :D

yea i already sources a few bits going fastshow at sandapod sunday to collect them :D but the rad pipes i will go to the scrappy for with vernier lol

electrics are not my favourite too but i sorta understand them(i think lol) just takes times to do it, otherwise ill call my mate who put a 406 2.0 8v turbo into his 306 and rewired the 306 loom plug to take the 406 loom its sweet:) and very fast.

Yeah stand alone too. Might run on a standard map with no other mods to the engine (cams etc) but I'd want to get a fully mappable unit anyway. Mmmm expensive.

Fair play for giving the electrics a go! Your mate sounds pretty handy to have round when doing engine swaps dude. Not bad!
