The middle two only blow cold, it's rather annoying when you have one stuck open all year round. I'm not sure why the drivers side one blows cool though.

Nope, it's a great feature I miss on my other car. You can have the car hot as anything yet still a jet of cool air on your face so you don't become drowsy.

There lies a true 300 devotee. Other "features" include wind up windows to keep you alert, unassisted steering to keep you alert and the lack of a Rev counter as standard.

To keep you alert. :D

Alternatively, later models have all mod cons and excellent heating and cooling without air con (for UK use anyway), its very reliable and no silly mechanisms to break or jam up (well less so than other cars). I also like the centre cool air, it encourages you to use them for ventilation which dries out the sills and clears out the farts :), just close them for winter and use the heating vents. Why some people do not keep the fan on all the time bewilders me.

Moving to the 940 I miss the well designed heating and interior of the 360, cold mornings are colder for longer in the 940. However I suspect I shall miss the 940 power steering initially when moving back to the 360.

I think the best feature is central locking which allows you to open and close the passenger door on its own. Not to mention the boot which remains nice and secure...

Totally agree, none of my cars after a 300 have this either and its really annoying - great feature. The V40 does but it still doesn't seem as fresh/cold as you get out of the 300s :(
