About 6 months ago i found a 360 GLE at the scrapyard, with vertually brand new rear gas struts, so out with the spanners, and off they came! I then fitted them on my 360 GL, i.e. removed the fitted oil shocks! When the gas shocks were fitted the back and had raised about an inch higher between the rear wheel and wheel arch! I then took the car for a spin (not literally but nearly) i drove it up the road to the round about, where i gave it the usual stick around it, then found to my surprise when i nearly hit a lamp post that the rear shocks had stiffened the rear end so much that the oversteer turned to understeer! Frightening!!!
Anyhow, despite taking a while to get used to it, it decreases the body roll round corners and generally makes it a much more pleasent ride!
Cheers

Its a big improvement, stops your passengers thinking their on the QE II!! GLT's came with different front and rear shocks and also different rear leaf springs, however not sure in what way they are different - possibly stiffer?!
Cheers
