200's welcome?

Post by Stuntman »

Hello there, I know I'm not strictly a 300 owner at present but I have had a 360 GLT, is this a refuge for 200 owners with a passion for modifying? After all most running gear and accessories are identical.

And as an offer of goodwill anyone who needs a tow can have one. Even Foggy if he wants some fuel! (I've noticed thats a running theme) sm22

There is a lot of interst in younger drivers with 240's meeting up on the 8th of January at my place in the midlands (derby J28 M1) everyone welcome.

Anywho I'm Andi K and hope to be of use here.

Hi Andi
How are all things 200 with you. I have ended up here even though I am an Amazon man. It gets a bit boring with all the old fuddy duddy's on the amazon sites.
We do have a number of T'Brickers here so make yourself at home(get a bloddy 300).
Post away look forward to meeting you

HAHA, love the subtlety. I'm quite interested in the 200 series (had some dark thoughts about getting one recently too). Are we welcome to this meet of yours on the 8th? I may well drop by :)

Yes all the V3M crew are welcome. What Andi is after is a meet for the younger volvo drivers. Most of us here fit in that box!

Thanks Arnagath, I also had a 360 GLT '89 plate as my first volvo, then a 740, then 760, then 460 then a 240 GLT saloon, followed by my 240 wagon.

For 'hooning' around I loved my 360, but for long distance cruising the 240 wins. I'll be after another 300 after the new year so watch out all.

Quite. We've heard about the Amazon fuddy-dudduys, maybe we are the Redline equivalent.

And to think I was going to go as it's only two junctions up the M1. Bah humbug. sm65

Haha, no offence meant to anyone, just a love of all things RWD.

So long as you don't mind volvo's being fettled with your more than welcome, I had a rough response to one or two of my questions on the VOC forum, I think I've found salvation here. 'SANCTUARY' !!!!

For those more used to 200s, this is what Volvo intended the Smoke Grey Redline to look like.

Which is not to say that Mr Redline doesn't have a better idea than Mr Volvo...

I see you've got the original wheels on then. I was starting to get tempted to change mine! I'ts a shame the spare is just a iron clunky one.
