Lovely looking 340, shame it's not a GL.

She looks immaculate on the first photo (and the others of course, too!). Where did you get the monster?

Good work, I'm particularly fond of the mesh grille and the stripes!

Nice GLT alloys, also!

Sooner or later it had to be said....RICER (*) :-P Just kidding ;)

Seriously though, you've obviously put a lot of work into it. It's not to my taste - mesh in grille needs to be black, less vinyl, and the indicator repeaters look much better where they're supposed to be...plus you need a lot more power ;) - but there are some nice touches - moving the number plate is a good idea (needs a beefier front wing to look right), and the rear spoiler suits the car and is a welcome break from the stock black item everyone has!

I guess fundamentally I like more go and less show - as if as in my case you don't have that much go....go easy on the show! Having said that, with the current state of insurance, I know why it happens that way around!

Going back to the number plate, I think the look is enhanced greatly by a front wing...

If you're thinking of getting a 360...I have a challenge for you. There aren't many people who do 'max power' style modding on these cars, so how about you have a crack at making something to really open some eyes. Loose the quirky bits (vinyl on the bonnet, etc) and fit a quality bodykit which suits the car, and a set of nice alloys, and jobs a goodun.

The 300 series equivalent of this job done on a Nova...nothing too stupid looking, but 'clean' and a bit mean looking. Ok the sills are pretty crap on this, but I was in a hurry...I'm sure you see what I mean!

Finally, don't think I'm having a dig - just a few constructive comments for your new project! People like you are rare amoungst 300 series owners, hence why its important you get it right :)

cheers

James

thanks comments are welcome good or bad
your right its insurance that is the common problem hence the show n no go
i do have some ideas runnin around my head about the route to more power its a lack of space that is the problem at the moment.

front and rear bumpers are in development at the moment its time consuming to get it right.

The front end was a respray by me back in april and is not vinyl.

any other car would have styling parts available off the shelf !!!
Ahh the joys of owning a volvo 340

My buddy Kevin Strong's car. It's gotta be one of the more powerful redblocks in this country...shame it isn't road legal. It's fairly easy to get a redblock to that kinda power level, but unless you're really gentle with the drivetrain, you're gonna be breaking torque tubes and gearboxes, not to mention bending the rear axel.

cheers
