Tow bar please!
Tow bar please!
Anyone got a tow bar suitable for a hatch 360? Need one asap before I change my mind again and start looking for vans/french estate cars

Does anyone know if this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Witter-Towbar-Vol ... dZViewItem
is the type with two bolts on the tow bar ball and will it fit a 1984 car? Cheers

That'll stick out further being for a saloon mate. I do have a genuine Volvo one that mounts through the boot floor for a 360, but firstly, it's still on the car and I'm a bit busy at the moment! But, if you wanted it I'm sure we could work something out.

Getting a bike rack bolted on there mate? I'm looking at one to replace the dubious effort that rests on my rear windscreen, especially as the mrs has just got a bike, not having 2 on there... They any good?

mick - i think david already has a rack (he did last time i checked) and some of us (well, david and I) have spent waaay more on a bike than is worth skimping on a carrier (my current ride would cost in the region of £3000 to replace with new bits, other bikes in my collection are probably looking north of 4k..). its a good choice for those with a halfords special though
regarding rear screen - i've never had a problem with 3 bikes (and not 3 light bikes either) on a screen-mounted carrier - it bends a bit but unless you're really throwing the car around most of the pressure goes onto the bumper anyway. that said, i understand why david wants a ballmounted one - hell i bought an estate so i could chuck mine in easily enough

We only use it for the familys four bikes on the back of the trajet and it do's what its meant to without problem,
I have done push ups on the arms of the bike rack and I am no lightweight .
fair enough , you guys take your cycling verrry seriously but I dont see anything better about the witter or the pendle to justify an extra £60.00
are they really any better or is a case of paying more for the name

Hehe, I was only taking a guess that David wanted a bike rack, knowing he's as bad as you mate
Sorry for the thread jack

You guessed correct, it is for a bike rack. I am looking to fit this rack http://www.pendle-bike.co.uk/nulldet.as ... Bar%20Rack
Thanks for the heads up mick, but pendle has been recommended by others who are as nutty about bikes as 5lab/me, (think I am worse than 5lab
). The main issue is these bikes weigh alot more than a standard item, (especially when loaded with mud!), my rack often carries over 8k of bikes!
