Post by classicswede »

Does anyone have pics of husky's prop. I know he built something special - I've got my own ideas but would like to see how Iain did it for referance

Cheers

Is the stock one weak or something ? Can you guys explain to me the reason for upgrading the propshaft ? Maybe a bit more happy revving ?

FR dispositions are new things for me

Thanks !!

The stock one is basically a steel tube crimped onto two rubber doughnuts at either end, and the drive is transmitted through these rubbers. So they're very weak. The vibration damping is fantastic, but they will wear out and break, even at stock power levels, if you drive it harshly, and also over time.

Seems there's a couple of options at about the same cost. Reco-prop (google for website) or Dai or Nev.
