I am told the rubber cover is loose on one driveshaft and whatever is underneath it could do with some grease or something.
Is this urgent?
What do I need to do? Remove the rubber thingy? clean under with anything? What sort of lubricant?
Can the rubber thing be hed down with a plastic cable tie?

You need a new rubber boot probably. Use CV joint grease. New boots are only a couple of quid.

lol dont use that stuff!
tbh, just dont drive it until you can get some cv grease. if left for a long time the drive shaft will start corroding and wearing heavily due to friction and heat. eventually you will have a horribly clicking sound when you turn a corner and then it could possibly fall apart and you'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere.

On rwd you dont notice it as bad a fwd but running dry will cause damage. On FWD the most strain is when turning but this is not the same, even so make sure you use the right grease and do not use it untill you have reagreased.
When my rubber split I cheated and changed the shafts as I had better ones.

Copper grease is perfect for lubricating the splines on the prop.
