I adjust co usually to 2.5, here limit is 3, seem to run better overall and drinks less fuel too.

450€ here + service and fuel, however I do have those similar to your no claims discounts from -95, also as I keep car at parking lot my insurance is on hold for most of year, which reduces it to even lower under 300€ I believe that is now.

I would not mind that all tax would be in gas price really, those would pay that spend or something like that ;)

Glad to here it went through with no trouble.

True about most of the tax being in fuel - makes me glad to use LPG

yup fuel tax is a con-you pay tax on your tax !!
eg
If a litre of unleaded petrol costs 85p, 21.7p will be the production costs and profit, around 51p will be duty and 12.5p will be VAT on top of all that.
If you paid VAT on the 21.7p product it would be 3.8p then added the 51p duty/tax the same litre would be 76.5p.

in the year 00-01 this made the gov £234bn

We pay from fuel, fuel tax and from all this we pay ALV that is similar to your VAT but 22% However I would pay gladly 5 cents more per litre if I would not need to pay separate car tax and even more gladly if there would be some better roads and alive polices taking out those incapable to drive idiots instead of speed cameras :)

Spot on Jani, the fact that the money doesn't appear to be used to improve or maintain the roads is wrong. They rob the motorist to use it for other things, as we are an easy target. Don't get me started about the DVLA! The roads around me are shocking, potholes everywhere. My four minute drive to work is a maze of dodging potholes, main roads included. It's not acceptable, I pay my taxes on everything and seem to get very little, if any return!

It is not too cheap here either, but I rather pay from use than owning ;)

1.1E is 74p germ, we are paying 83-85p atm! You are a tad more expensive paying £1.01 for 98, we are 98.9p. Still know who's getting the better deal ;)

also tax discs used to say road tax fund on them but they changed this to make it so they could spent it on anything

all the tax money regardless of its name is put in "the pot" and given out to other "move important" things

someone should say somthing about it but the reason they do it is so they arent shortages of money in other sections.

"Still know who's getting the better deal"
what you mean by that? the fact its always sunny here?
or the prices

Surprising how many people don't realise they changed the road fund license :(

I was meaning you are still cheaper on the prices, and I misread your 98 ron, though you put 1.5, not 1.15, so you get an even better deal, git ;)
