Clutch Cables 1.4/1.7

Hello,

Does anyone know what (if any) is the difference between a 1.4 and 1.7 clutch cable (they both fit 1.7 bell housing)

Yours is a 1.4? yes

The 1.7 one should be the same length and has a long M6 thread on the end. If the 1.4 one has this then it should work with the 1.7 bellhousing etc.

I Purchased a 1.7 cable anyway.

It turns out the outer cable is the same length but the inner cable is about 1.5" shorter.

the 1.4 cable does indeed fit but there is no adjustment left in it by the time it has been adjusted correctly.
