Strange sounds from clutch after F7P swap

Post by TESA »

As you know, I have changed engine from 1.4 to F7P. Everything worked well, but after maybe 1Km strange sounds came from bellhousing, I realize that I didnt put the bearing in the center of the flywheel, so I take take out
the engine, and put there this bearing. I thought that the reason for this sounds is that splined shaft wasnt centered... But after that all, the bearing is on its place, but sounds doesnt die down... If i pull clutch pedal. sounds quiet down....

Do you know where is the problem ?
I am little pissed off....
thx

hi

do you mean the noise is there with the clutch pedal up/ engaged or clutch pedal down/ clutch released? does the noise start at a certain point as you push down the clutch pedal?

It is solved... The noise stopped, but if i release clutch engine didnt rotate with shaft..

So i must take out engine... again.

You don't have to lift the engine to get to the clutch eh!

Remove the driveshaft (??), Lift the engine up a bit, and then either unscrew the engine mount, or the part where the engine mount is on the frontmember (??). Now you can screw the clutchpart off.
