Old friend!
This Frinton car keeps popping up on eBay - 150309786636 - and has yet to find a loving home. Interesting that this seller has seen fit to show the bonnet rust, and the engine bay detail - not as clean as it was a year ago! A grand from a trader with full MOT?

All that chrome looks superb on a MkII. Gives it a completely different character compared to, say, a GLT.

Horny!
Full MOT, so the jacking points must be OK surely? I think it sold originally on eBay for £500 with no MOT last year - needed a new exhaust? Seems to have been knocking around unsold for some time. It looked to have been in better condition a year ago, certainly there was no mention of a rusty bonnet then. I'm sure the guy will e-mail you more pictures if you ask. As for the price, I bet that is negotiable in the run up to Christmas.
You could do Chester to there and back in a day! Stop off at Gaydon....

I have emailed him, the next best time i can go down though is next weekend.
So i sure hope it doesnt sell by then, i would want to have a look round before splashing out 995 on a car i hav'nt seen.
If i turn up i could stand a better chance of knocking him down a bit.
fingers crossed its still for sale next weekend

Hmm, travelling down from Chester, stated on the web that you are keen - would be an interesting haggle that one! Good luck though - the 2 litre cars seem to be getting rarer by the day.

Nice spec....mk2 pimpness, but a B200K, so 45+mpg on the motorway if it's tuned right. Not cheap, though, given that normally only absolute minters command £1k...

Tend to agree - a grand from a dealer isn't so bad, but I suspect there is room in the price for a deal; they've had the thing ages after all. Nice looking car.

That's true - deals can be done. That really, really nice 360 GLE I posted up ages ago is still at the dealer here. I think it's now down to ~£500 now. Shame it's that nasty champagne / bronze colour...
cheers

Update on the car in frinton. Drove 450mile round trip today to go and look at it and again a dealer has lied. The car has a blown head gasket but it is immaculate if anyone fancies a small repair for a true beauty. I could just not attempt to drive it 200 miles home again.
They will accept £750 but not a penny less, but for 750, if your close it would be worth a punt. just to let you guys know.
I got him to pay for my petrol for the trip though so just a day wasted at least not out of pocket.
would be nice to see it go to a good home
