Hey Guys and Girls!!!

Can get hold of a b234 from a 16V 740 GLT for £250..

What other bits do I need from it and is that a reasonable price?

Regards

Jay

As to price its a case of what are you willing to pay.

You will want to get the ecu wiring loom air flow meter etc with the engine so you can stick it all in. If going into a 360 you will have to fab up engine mounts or use a 8 valve block and build a hybrid.

Aye the 16v bottom end has balancer shafts so it's wider. Sod messing about with wires, get a set of 45s and it'll fly.

The whole block is diffent (not any wider when you reomve the balance shafts) but the engine mounting points are different and will not take 240 or 360 mounts

OK cheers guys I think I will pass on the Engine then as it means on top of the 250 I need to find a b230 engine which seems pointless..

Cheers for the advice

Any pics of that when done? I'll have to do it too. Biggest task in the whole swap I guess.
