I use the bookface to keep in touch with folk in other cities. My local friends can be seen in person, but FB is really good for those further afield.

Indeed. Keepin in touch with mates offshore and in the far east was a ballache before facebook. Emails dont cut it man. I want to be able to take the piss out of someones holiday photos in realtime.
