1987gl is this ok to run on unleaded?

bought my gl 2ltr carb 1987 on a d plate,
found a bottle of red-ex lead replacement in thed door so it got me wondering......should i be using normal fuel in this car?
is this something that the previous owner has done as a precaution or does this car actually need this?

No, it'll run fine on normal unleaded.
