What is the best engine oil to use?

The one you can afford Seriously, it's better to get what you can and change it often enough, than to trust all those marketing slogans about long life oil. Especially for daily runners. Motorsport applications have other needs naturally. Mine currently runs on Valvoline Max-Life 10W-40... Wife's car now runs on Mobil Delvac MX 15W-40 (yep it's a diesel!) which I hear is really good even for gasoline engines.

Hellfrauds apparently has a good manufacturer for their oil however I usually get valvoline from ECP because it's slightly cheaper. Should be 10W 40 if your engine has more than a few miles on the clock although 15w 40 won't exactly hurt it.

Just stay away from 0w and cheapest oils.

One other thing, if you have currently semi synthetic oil in, then use semi synthetic oil, if it is full synthetic it is better use full synthetic and so on, plain synthetic is also semi synthetic.

Also there are some really cheap oils, I don't know how good they are, but I did not like from finger test of such, even less after 1000km drive, it felt not very slippery, I could easily feel my fingers rubbing each other with very high friction, oil kind of slipped away from between fingers, not desired result

Still that is oil in my french crap, die bitch, die Sorry, I have hate love relationship with my car, leaning more towards hate part
