Dammit I want an LSD!! Do you mind saying what you paid for it?
I think that steering wheel is an aftermarket one with a Volvo badge stuck on it - Fuse has the same one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen it in a parts catalogue or anything.
I'm not sure if that second one is anymore available. About year ago there was two of these on sale, then I had no money to buy one. These two were different sellers and I'm not aware of any other lsd in this country.
Unfortainly I can't find who has that other lsd because our finnish forum was hacked/crashed and lot of data lost soon after I saw first time these two lsd announced to be available.
Here is few more pics, maybe they help to find out lsd from Jeep or some other vehicle with compatible parts.
I posted those pics on another forum (hope you don't mind!) to see if anyone could identify the model of LSD. I'm a bit worried you see, because quite a number of knowledgable and respected people came back saying that that doesn't look like an LSD at all! For a start they couldn't see any clutches. They said it could be a locking diff, or it might just be a 'normal' diff. Are you sure it's an LSD, and if so, do you know who made it originally - and which model in their range, what type it is?
I guess the proof will be in the testing! One black stripe or two And the way it engages...on/off (locker) or like a clutch (LSD).
I'm not sure you could generate the kind of forces (which tend not to be zero) it needs to 'engage' by hand - maybe not even when installed in the car - and that assumes its a locker. A clutch LSD will feel 'normal' by hand.
There is those small gears inside of both parts, I can rotate gears well in other part, but there is no way to make gears move in other part, so there have to be some kind of locking mechanism?
Actually I would prefer locker type as it suits my driving better
I really hope that I have not been cheated here as 150 euros is lot of money for me. Thx for helping to find out what it is as I'm not very familiar with those parts
Can you get a shot of all of the internals in one shot, plus an image that puts it all in context - say a couple of shots of it being pulled apart from one piece?
