electric window faliure

Right, well my drivers side electric window started sticking a couple of weeks ago, and has now stuck shut leading to embarrasment trying to use ticket machines in multi storey car parks (am I asking for a Redline comment )!

It does occasionally move the window slightly, but stops whenever theres a slight strain on the motor, so I'm not opening the window again incase it gets stuck down, til I get a chance to look at it! I'm putting my money on the motor becoming worn.

Hugh, have you sourced a spare motor yet? Or have any ideas where I could get one.. the 360 I knew in a scrapyard has gone Are the motors interchangeable side to side (a passenger motor should be less worn), or are the motors used in any other series of Volvo?

I promised you no more car park quips and I am sticking to my promise even in this situation when I could say so much . (Bet you feel a bit silly in the mucky D drive throughs though )

the redline on fleabay had no leccy windows. my moneys on trying a '700 motor (which are apparently the same as 200 and 900 motors)
