What about hitting turbo boost? That certainly would make better effort than speedbump? They sure made self driving cars quite well at 80's, when compared to modern versionsCBA wrote:but fair enough, it is pretty brittle . a good thrash over some speedbumps would probably do it, I forgot about the coating... long time since I watched Knightrider.
Hack and remote control civilian cars....

Ok Prime Despot of Knightrider
, Hitting the boost would probably do it... what was the top speed on that thing?
The self-drive was pretty robust, given...
The new ones don't say "the risk is very high Michael, I do not suggest you go through with this Michael, Michael!!!..... "
**KESMASH**
"Michael... that was a very harsh manoeuvre and I don't appreciate your recklessness"...

Today it's more like " Speed of 30MPH Exceeded
. Stop vehicle
. Lock doors
. Release poison gas
Put up for-sale sign.

Re: Hack and remote control civilian cars....
Yeah, pretty much that it is today.
Top speed was certainly over 200Mph, how it picks speed see speed here around 20 second mark:

That rate of acceleration at that speed, so it surely would of been quite fast, nothing like modern self driving cars, which just crawl less than walking speed and bump from object to object more or less
Original is top 5 series ever made and no, there is no any modern stuff on my top list
Oh, but one thing, even it was rather nice car, it too got virus/hacked and some criminal opened it's doors and all with remote control, can't remember what else he did, but certainly another proof that less electronics is better
