Central locking

Post by alf »

Today is a good day for science  ! I bought last week a Pyle alarm system and it`s almost fully installed, except the remote lock system. I came to a stop when i reached the driver door- the actuator itself it`s given me a headache. It has 4 wires attached to it, but i don`t if that is a switch or like the other 3 it`s an electric motor. For the moment, i took a spare one from the Gle and i`m waiting for a suggestion.
Thanks.

Its just a switch, you will need to install another Passenger door motor in the drivers door along with the switch.

You do have room put it in the recess about 4 inches across from the existing switch, thats how mine is.

Just check before you do too much... Kar's was a motor and a switch, as is Fake's. You have 2 wires that power the motor (power one way round to lock, other way to unlock) and 2 that power the switch that do the other motors, so I've never had to install another motor.

The diagrams don't show it, but put a battery across it ;)

I'm sure.
