Does a mk2 Tailgate fit a mk3?

I believe so, but the number plate illumination lights are built into the mk3 clusters, but mk2's had them on the bumper so you'll need to sort something out.

I've often thought that mk2 clusters would look good on a mk3, so before and after pics if you try it please

And Jay, yes mate, a few of the drifters have so they can polycarb the rear window.

Yes, I believe they do... the tailgate catches may be different too?

Jay, noticed you're breaking a 3 door 1.4 - do you have a spare seat catch to lift the seat up. And a boot strut mounting?

Cheers MJ, Chris and Steve thanks for getting back to me..

Steve i'll let you know on Monday whats left on the car but I think I should have all the bits you need..

So the mk3 on the mk2 should be just as easy to fit?

Hope the catches aren't different..

Will let you guys know how it goes, if all goes to plan you guys will hopefully be imprest with the 1.7 and its new look..
