niceley folded plastic mac
I do worry about the plastic mac brigade.......

Trilby was very middle class - not my background at all. "Ad it hard when I were't lad...."

Beginning to think I was done slightly with my car. It is gradually getting slower, exhaust sounds tad noisy but is not actually blowing properly yet, and the bottom half of the radiator is missing the cooling fins, so tends to run warm. Nothing a good service wouldn't clear [along with an exhaust and a rad - which together will coct more than a decent 340GL!], but..... well, I just expected more from an enthusiast seller.

Radiators are a common problem at this age...most 360s (in particular) seem to have recent ones, or have badly 'worn' ones, as you describe.

Radiator

Ah well, you've made me feel better - a bit - so thanks James.

Popped down to my local motor factors for a rad - can get one [but way more expensive than internet people], along with the top hose.... but not the bottom one. I'm kind of guessing that nobody actually makes the hoses anymore at all, and that top ones are all they have left over? I'm off to Volvo to check this one out before I rip the rad out.

If rad problems are common, then where do people buy hoses?!

I've tended to re-use old ones, where possible. Hose is hose, when all is said and done, so the required shapes can be made up.

cheers
