Window Seals, Sunroof, Fuse Box

Post by stealthstylz »

The window seals on the volv have all dried up and started cracking. Can I get new ones or do I need 2nd hand?

The sunroof works but when you find the handle till it stops it pulls the sunroof downwards through the roof. Is that normal? I think theres something wrong with it as its scratched the paint on the roof when I opened it. Need a new seal for that too.

Where is the auxilliary fuse box lol blew a fuse on my reverse lights last night I think.

Sounds like the gearbox on the sunroof is out of line with the lines, and probably needs relining up. Someone else more expert on these damn sunroofs will post up, but to me they're a complete PITA.

Reverse lights are in the main fuse box.

If you're talking about those plastic joblies that go under the window on the outside. Afaik you can still get the 3 door versions and cut them down. They (volvo) discontinue parts all the time so check with your dealer for the latest.

Aux fuse box is behind the battery. It only has 2 fuses. Front fog lights and fuel pump.

Window seals are available, also sunroof seal is available but the price is staggering.. 60€ for a sunroof seal.  I think I'm going to ask from shops which install aftermarket sunroofs, they might have suitable seal for much less money.. :P
