interior light upgrade?

Post by Duvel78 »

I was checking the electrical diagram because the time delay isn't working anymore on one of my GLTs, and I discovered this: on the diagram, there are 4 switches, one for each door! I've never seen that, I thought it was only on the front doors. Maybe a nice upgrade? From my point of view, the interior light has always been very poor. But if we add 2 extra lights for the rear seat (option on mk2s) + 2 extra switches on the rear doors, it could be veeery nice! I will check the extra switches used by the alarm, they could play that role, as for the front doors. What do you think?

Yeah, they were in the grab handles IIRC ...

Aymat, I may have an interior light delay relay spare, I'll have to check ...

Use some LED replacement lamps instead of the fuse type bulbs... That should shed some light on the interior lighting...
